Leadership in Air pollution Management
NTPC Limited
Leadership in Air Pollution Management award is presented to NTPC Limited in recognition of their excellent practices in reducing and monitoring air pollutant emissions. The company’s coal-fired stations are equipped with high-efficiency electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) and all stations in NCR, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have been switched to a low-sulphur alternative fuel to reduce SOx emissions. Also, Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (AAQMS) and Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) is used in all the stations.
